Jobs Creation Forum Tonight

Area leaders will be holding a job creation forum this evening in Iola. City, state and federal officials will meet at 5:30pm in the Iola High School lecture hall to discuss with business leaders and the community at large ways to encourage the development of businesses and the creation of jobs in our area. Representatives from the Department of Commerce, Senators Brownback and Roberts, 1st District Congressman Jerry Moran, along with USDA and the Commerce Department will be there. They will be joined by 2nd District Representative Lynn Jenkins, State Senator Derek Schmidt, State Representative Bill Otto, and local educational and business leaders. Organizers are actively encouraging public attendance at the meeting. Again, it's at 5:30 at the Iola High School lecture hall.
