A three-vehicle crash on Delaware Road in Allen County caused the death of an Elsmore woman yesterday afternoon. Kansas Highway Patrol troopers report two semis were westbound on Delaware Road, while a car was eastbound. 45-year old Tammy Hughes was alone in that car. One of the semis stopped to try to turn left, but the following driver did not react in time and had to jam on his brakes. That caused the semi to spin 1/4 turn and roll into the path of Hughes' car. Hughes died at the scene; neither truck driver was injured.
