The city of Reading and Lyon County Emergency Management said in a release yesterday that the quick movement to recovery was aided by the outpouring of support and volunteers. Only a few volunteers are now needed as they begin the recovery process. Residents are still waiting for insurance settlements and a decision by FEMA on a disaster declaration. Dozens of homes and businesses were destroyed by the tornado, estimated to have been an EF3 when it hit the town of about 240.
